Tannavu Manavu (Kannada)

Hi All,

A while back Ramesh emailed me to gauge my interest in trying something different - singing a Kannada song. At first i was a bit skeptical about it but thought it would be a good experience. So began the journey to sing a Kannada song. The tune of the song was awesome so singing it made it that much easier.

Vidya , whose mother tongue happens to be Tamil , has joined me in a joint effort to render this song . She has done an excellent job of it.

Advance apologies for the diction errors. Big thank you to Vidya for singing this song with me and an even bigger thank you to Ramesh from the both of us for his help with diction and above all motivating us to undertake this challenge.

Thanx for listening.

Movie: Raja Nanna Raja

Awesome job, Soumitra and Vidya!

You two have done a beautiful job with this number.
The alaaps at different pitches sound wonderful. And
the song itself is by no means an easy one.

Congratulations on accomplishing another milestone!

As Pulikeshi, I am a kannadiga too, and frankly very impressed with your effort and more so with your interest in making your pronunciation 90% perfect!!! Great great job..
Please try more kannada songs; there are several gems given by GKV (Trivia: incidentally, GKV is the guru of Illayaraja whose compositions are being said here to be 100 times tougher than the song in q!) and other great music directors like Rajan-nagendra, upendrakumar and hamsalekha
